The Uttoxeter Walking Club was formed in 1978 with an initial membership of 12.

Since that time it has enjoyed a steady growth and today we have over 60 members. Initially the club organized walks in the local area including the Derbyshire Peaks but it did not take long for a more adventurous programme to be developed, including longer day trips and weekends.

An annual AGM is organized to include a dinner and this is now a major item in our winter programme. We are associate members of The Ramblers Association.
